Eligible Drivers must win a NASA or SCCA National Championship series in a Mazda powered car OR the Teen Mazda East or West Championship to receive an invite to the MAZDA Driver Shootout.

TEEN MAZDA CHALLENGE series

EAST , TEXAS/MIDWEST, WEST Championship

Driver must participate in the Teen Mazda Spec Miata Championship in his/her area. Drivers must be a member of NASA and hold a NASA Pro Racing License. www.NASAPRORACING.com

Drivers must participate in a santioned Kart race series to advance from this level OR acquire their license through the NASA licensing program

Kart Championship Series begin racing in a Karting series or Motocross series to learn how to race. Move into the Teen Mazda Challenge Series once you have reached 13 years of age.

The one-day shootout is held at an undisclosed race track. The criteria: Given that each of the five had proven themselves on the track to win a championship, the criteria to move up needed to be more encompassing. To succeed on the professional level requires a balance of both on-track and off-track skills including the following:• Driving ability – fast laps• Driving ability – consistent laps• Driving ability – wet weather control (New for 2010)• Technical feedback – Understanding of vehicle dynamics and suspension• Technical feedback – Ability to evaluate vehicle handling• Technical feedback – Ability to analyze data• Technical feedback – Ability to improve vehicle handling• The business of motorsports – Business proposal• The business of motorsports – Business presentation• The business of motorsports – PR SkillsThe 2012 Mazda Driver Shootout Champion was ELLIOTT SKEER the 2011 Teen Mazda Challenge West Coast Champion!
