The Teen Mazda Challenge Series concept as envisioned by Ron Cortez is to add a step in Mazda's ladder system by which a young woman or man can advance from Go Karts and/or Motocross through a highly competitive "spec" series, Mazda's renown Spec Miata series. "Having been in on the ground floor of the Mazda Spec Miata series I can attest to the quality of the program in developing driving talent and race craft. This is an amazing program for young drivers to acquire the race skills on and off of the track required to advance in the professional motor sports arena. We are extremely grateful for the continued generosity and support of Mazda Motors of America, NASA and TOYO Tires. In all the world this is an extremely unique program."
